Meli's passion lies at the intersection of land use, mobility, and urban development, and how these topics relate to our most pressing environmental and resiliency challenges.
Meli brings to the team a diverse background spanning art, design, policy, and software engineering. Past experiences include working as a computational designer at WeWork, a digital fabrication specialist for the sculptor Diana Al-Hadid, a designer at Bjarke Ingels Group architects (BIG), a GIS specialist at the Regional Plan Association (RPA).
Her education includes a Master in City Planning from MIT and a Bachelor of Architecture at Syracuse University. She has taught the course Algorithms and Urbanism at Columbia's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP). She has also contributed to academic journals such as Simulation for Architecture and Urban Design (SimAUD), and peer reviewed for Technology | Architecture + Design (TAD).
