Before joining Sidewalk, she was vice president in legal with a real estate investor and developer focusing on urban revitalization. There, she oversaw a wide-variety of matters, including the sale, purchase, financing, and construction of real estate projects in partnership with the team's executive leadership.
Prior to that, she was an attorney in private law firm practice, including with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP, where she represented private equity funds, REITs, investment banks, and developers in all aspects of commercial real estate and other M&A transactions.
Ayelet earned her undergraduate degree in Social Studies and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with honors from Harvard College, where she completed her thesis on issues of gender and religion. She received her law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, for which she was an editor on the Journal of Law and Gender. A native New Yorker and lover of cities the world over, Ayelet lives on the Upper Westside with her husband and daughter. She enjoys travel, concerts, Ali Wong, and all things coffee.
