He is driven to use policy and technology to build a more sustainable and equitable society. Prior to Sidewalk, Dillon built zero-emission self-driving cars at GM Cruise, specializing in robotic planning and prediction. He also managed a San Francisco program providing free internet to thousands of people experiencing homelessness at a nonprofit called ShelterTech. Before that, he worked at Microsoft, where he built large-scale distributed systems.
Dillon studied computer science at Harvard College. A proud native of San Diego, Dillon grew up eating tacos and grooving to hip-hop -- all of which he still tries to do in New York City, his sixth city to call home.
