Jason Danforth

Senior Computational Designer

Jason Danforth is a Senior Computational Designer at Sidewalk Labs.

Driven by an interest in how technology can drive new forms of design practice, Jason has worked across scales and disciplines from digital products and innovative workflows, to modular construction and AI-driven urban design. An experienced collaborator with an entrepreneurial background, he has built products and lead teams at small startups (Envelope, iBUILT), much-too-large startups (WeWork), and global architecture firms (Kohn Pedersen Fox).

Jason earned his Master of Architecture from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where he received the Henry Adams Medal, the GSAPP Visualization Award, and a William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize. In a previous life, Jason launched the U.S. professional rock climbing tour and worked as a line cook after reading Kitchen Confidential too many times. He still loves climbing and cooking.
