Her work will help shape the strategy, design, and planning to create affordable, flexible, and sustainable buildings. Prior to joining Sidewalk Labs, Lily has spent a decade honing her craft as an architect, practicing in offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Berlin, and Toronto. Most recently at KPMB Architects in Toronto, she has had the opportunity to lead the design of award-winning projects that ranges from private to public, institutional to commercial, large scale complex urban design projects to commercial office renovations. In all her work, Lily is passionate about design as creative problem solving, particularly solutions that have positive social impact.
Lily holds a Master in Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and received her Honors Bachelor of Arts degree with a Specialist in Architecture from the University of Toronto. Lily enjoys the beach, the multitude of parks, and ravines that Toronto’s east side has to offer and can often be found wandering the neighborhood with her husband and two children. Despite being an avid urbanite, she loves camping and is an aspiring backcountry camper. She is active in her community, serving as a leader and volunteer in her church and enjoys designing and teaching crafts at children’s summer camp.
