Nate has built a career in politics, government, and public affairs for over a decade. Prior to Sidewalk, Nate served in the Obama Administration as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget in the White House. During his tenure in the administration he also ran business engagement for the White House Office of Public Engagement and served in the senior ranks of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Nate has served as a political director and leader for a range of campaigns and organizations, including Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee, the Florida Democratic Party, as well as global research consultancy Penn Schoen Berland. Early in his career, Nate taught middle school social studies as a Teach for America teacher in inner city Atlanta.
Nate holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and a Master in Business Administration in finance and strategy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York.
