She comes to Sidewalk Labs via New York's urban renewal and technology project, the Lowline. Nerissa's love of tech and urbanism comes from ten years of project management of urban planning and multi-disciplinary building engineering teams, and another ten years of leading international software development projects.
Nerissa earned an M.F.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and completed the Japanese Studies program at Nanzan University. She has spent about a quarter of her life in New York, Toronto, Tokyo and rural Scotland, but she now calls Brooklyn home.
