Prem comes to Sidewalk from Google, where he was a Product Manager for 12 years. At Google, he worked on a range of products, including Google Checkout, Google Public DNS, and Public Alerts (for Google.org's Crisis Response team). He also worked on the Internet Bus Project in India and served as the Head of Search Social Impact (for the Health, Civics, Edu, Crisis Response, Social Good, and Arts & Culture teams).
Prem graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. He spent the next two years at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, working on airborne wide-area 3D laser radar mapping. He later took two years of educational leave from Google to get a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where he founded and taught a course on Product Management (currently being taught at Stanford University and Google). He also completed an Executive Medical Training at Harvard Medical School.
When not building products for the cities of the future, Prem spends hours building Lego cities with his two sons and watching way too much TV with his wife.
