With a background in architecture, he is dedicated to addressing societal challenges at the interface of human behavior and the built environment.
Prior to Sidewalk, Saif worked at Amazon R+D exploring spatial design for conversational systems and at Certain Measures leveraging computer vision for urban analytics. As an architect at AECOM Abu Dhabi, he designed concepts for high-rise towers, district-scale developments, and cultural landmarks with a focus on applied computational methods.
Saif is a graduate of the Master in Design Engineering program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and Engineering and Applied Sciences and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. After stints in Amman, Abu Dhabi, Seattle, and Boston, he is excited to return to NYC to continue his passion for ceramics, filmmaking, and music composition.
