Thomas has spent over 18 years building teams to develop and deploy products and systems around the world in clean-energy, IoT, metering, and satellite communications. Before Sidewalk Labs, he was the Vice President of Technology at Quadlogic Controls, where he defined and led a new direction for Quadlogic, pivoting from a metering and billing company to an energy and data services company. Prior to that, he was the COO of BlocPower, where he helped organize and streamline processes for a $6.2 million smart city contract with New York City and a $27 million smart meter project in Eastern Congo. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Drexel University.
Born and raised in India, Thomas came to the U.S. to pursue higher education. Despite his appreciation for city life, he occasionally escapes in order to hang off an ice cliff to feed his love of the mountains. He currently resides in Queens where he plays guitar (poorly), cooks (pretty well, according to his wife and two young boys), and practices karate (well enough to know not to get into fights).
