Adding vehicle types to occupancy data collections
The Coord Collector mobile app provides a quick and easy way to collect curb asset and occupancy/turnover data using just an iPad or an iPhone. For urban planners and cities, it can be important to understand not just the presence and turnover rate of vehicles, but also the type of vehicle in a given space. For example, knowing whether private vehicles, commercial vehicles or some other vehicle type typically occupy loading zones in a certain part of a town at a certain time of day provides important detail to inform how to allocate and regulate curb space. To support this type of analysis, Coord has added an additional multi-select option for vehicle type, allowing users to both quickly identify the presence of a vehicle and whether it is commercial, police or other/private.
